Maine's third largest healthcare system, MaineGeneral Health is a comprehensive non-profit system that includes a medical center with campuses in Augusta and Waterville, a state of the art regional outpatient cancer treatment center, physician practices, nursing homes, rehabilitation, home healthcare and hospice serivces, special care for patients with memory loss, communtiy outreach programs and retirement living options.

History:
The history of MaineGeneral Medical Center and its parent, MaineGeneral Health, has its roots in many different and unique institutions - Augusta City Hospital, Gardiner General Hospital, Sisters Hospital, which later became Elizabeth Ann Seton Hosptial and Thayer Hospital each rich in history and part of the fabric of the communities of the Kennebec Valley.
