What do the Kids First Center, Community Counseling Center’s Trauma Intervention Program (TIP), Center for Grieving Children and the Children’s
Museum of Maine all have in common? They were all started or co-founded by the Junior League of Portland, Maine (JLP) and are examples of how the JLP makes a difference in our community.

What is the Junior League of Portland, Maine?
The JLP is an organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.

Benefits of Joining the JLP
• Meeting and working with a group of dynamic, committed and creative women who share an interest in voluntarism.

The Junior League of Portland, Maine welcomes all women, 21 years of age and older,
with a commitment to voluntarism, to join our New Member class which begins each

History:
For 86 years, the JLP has provided unique services to the Greater Portland community. To date, the JLP has established programs and provided organizational stability for more than 30 non-profit organizations.
