The Junior League of Portland, Maine, Inc. is a non-profit organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
The JLP reaches out to women of all races, religions and national origins who demonstrate an interest in and commitment to voluntarism.

What do the Kids First Center, Community Counseling Center’s Trauma Intervention Program (TIP), Center for Grieving Children and the Children’s
Museum of Maine all have in common? They were all started or co-founded by the Junior League of Portland, Maine (JLP) and are examples of how the JLP makes a difference in our community.

History:
For 86 years, the JLP has provided unique services to the Greater Portland community. To date, the JLP has established programs and provided organizational stability for more than 30 non-profit organizations.
