Eventide promotes quality of life in a Christian environment for seniors and their families by providing innovation and leadership in senior living resulting in individualized services in a variety of settings.

Description:
A continuum of care for the elderly which includes four apartment buildings (one for independent living and three with services), a 171-bed nursing home and a 24-bed short-stay centre. Four of the buildings are located on one campus in South Moorhead. The Fairmont, an assisted living facility, is located at 801 2nd Ave N in Moorhead.

The nursing home boasts a "Main Street" which includes a gift shop, coffee shop, post office/bank, beauty shop, and soda fountain all situated around a beautiful atrium in the center of the building. Volunteers provide most of the "manpower" for all these areas, as well as assist with activities.

History:
Eventide has been in existence since 1951. The volunteer program began soon after the nursing home opened as neighbors got together and decided to do haircare for the residents. Some of our haircare volunteers have been volunteering here for 49 years!

The volunteer program has expanded to include intergenerational activities and service learning opportunities. Besides our 200 faithful senior volunteers, we have another 300 students every year who come with their classes to visit and do activities with the residents and we have a Junior All-Stars program for kids from 11 - 15 that runs from June - August.
