Our vision is to provide services to older persons and people with disabilities so they can remain in their homes as long as possible
Description:
FIA Community of Care Volunteers will provide a range of services such as transportation to medical appointments, shopping, hair appointments in the local community,minor home repair, yard work, and telephone assurance.
History:
Community of Care is a pilot project of the Good Samaritan Society. Realizing the fastest growing segment of society is persons 85 years and older and that services in rural areas are not always available to meet the needs of those individuals this concept of providing access to health, human and spiritual services essential to the maintenance of their well -being and offered within a community of faith was developed.
