Head Start provides education and support for children, ages 3-5 years old who are income eligible or have special needs, in partnership with families and communities. We aspire to have all children, ages 0-5 and their families, reach their full potential and optimal well being.
Description:
Clay-Wilkin Head Start provides comprehensive early education services to 271 income eligible children living in Clay and Wilkin Counties of Minnesota. The skills to enter Kindergarten ready to learn, comprehensive health profiles and special need services occur in center based programs located in Moorhead, Dilworth, Breckenridge and Campbell Minnesota. Head Start To Go! Home Base services are provided to the rural communities in Clay County.
History:
Head Start is a federally funded program with a rich history of providing early education and parent involvement opportunities to children and families living in poverty. Clay-Wilkin Head Start has operated center based and home base programs for 25 years.
