Description:
Business Challenge is North Dakota's week-long, action-packed, entrepreneurial business experience. Business Challenge is a unique opportunity for students and educators to learn about, and experience first-hand, real-life applications of business and entrepreneurship ideas. Business Challenge is an important tool to show our youth the career opportunities within the state and to teach them about entrepreneurial skills, electronic business, and the global economy. We help students learn about the American Free Enterprise System and how the business economy affects them, no matter what career they follow. Business Challenge is a self-funding program under the umbrella of Dickinson State University. Business Challenge is a program of the North Dakota business community, Dickinson State University, and the North Dakota Department of Public Instruction.

History:
North Dakota was the second state in the nation to develop a business awareness educational program. North Dakota's Business Challenge program has been in existence since 1978. Since then, Business Challenge has brought together over 7,000 North Dakota high school students and over 1,000 elementary and secondary educators.
