Our mission is "To empower people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and their families to choose and realize their goals of where and how they live, learn, work, and play."
Description:
We provide information and referral, training and family support, advocacy, and public policy advocacy in seven Minnesota counties.
History:
The Arc of West Central Minnesota is a non-profit agency dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with disabilities and their families. Formally known as Clay County Association for Retarded Citizens, we started in Clay County in 1958. We provide advocacy, education, and support activities for individuals and their families. In 2002, the membership voted to regionalize to six surrounding counties of Becker, Douglas, Otter Tail, Grant, Norman, and Wilkin.
