"A ministry of healing for those affected by addictions." To be here to answer your questions regarding drug and alcohol abuse. We are an information library.
Description:
Lost and Found has a large Addiction library, open to the public, at no charge. Donations are accepted. There are Videos, books, CD's, DVD's and audios relating to addictions and life's problems, with a special section for professionals, and many topics, including Grief, Death and Dying, ADD/ADHD, Parenting, Peer Pressure, Alcohol, Drugs of Abuse, and Spirituality. The Drug and Alcohol Intervention program provides a structured, caring way to get the chemically dependent/alcoholic person into treatment and recovery. Example of a "Meth Lab" is on display during business hours. Meth resource materials along with the "Meth Lab" are made possible with a grant from Dakota Medical Foundation.
History:
Started in 1987 with a trust fund left to Trinity Lutheran Church of Moorhead, MN. The philosophy of Lost and Found Ministry has been to NOT duplicate other programs. Rather, we are unique in what we do. The addiction library was our first major program, followed by the intervention program. We then set up 28 satellite libraries in 13 North Dakota and 15 Minnesota communities.
