Prairie St. Johns was founded on Compassion, Integrity, and Respect, and Acts as a Catholic Health Organization by: Promoting & defending human dignity, attending to the whole person, caring for the poor and vulnerable, stewarding resources, promoting the common good, acting on behalf of justice abiding by the ethical and religious directives of Catholic Church.
History:
In fall of 1996 Prairie opened a Peds PHP service unit, Jan. 1999 they increased the bed capacity from 29 to 41 beds due to the increase in services. Aug. 2000 became Prairie at St. Johns (A Catholic Health Organization. In Oct. 2001 increased bed capacity from 41-53 beds. In Spring 2002 became Prairie St. Johns. In June 2002 Moorhead Clinic opened. In the spring of 2005 Prairie St. John's opened a partial hosptital in Minnetonka, MN. Woodbury partial hospital, and Woodbury corporate office in October 2006.
