The Minot Area Homeless Coalition, Inc. is a group of individuals who have come together to advocate, coordinate, and optimize services for homeless persons in the greater Minot area ( Bottineau, Burke, MCHenry, Mountrail, Pierce, Renville, and Ward Counties).

History:
The Minot Area Homeless Coalition as been around in some form or another since 1986. It started out with a few concerned citizens who wanted to make a difference in their community. Through the years the numbers of homeless requiring assistance increased. The Board of Directors recognized this and in 2001 incorporated. This allowed them to apply and seek funding from foundations and other sources to meet the needs of the homeless. They also were able to hire an Executive Director in 2005 to run the day to day operation of the organization. Since 2005, the coalition has grown both in numbers served and the number of individuals on the Board of Directors.
