Sox for Kids is a yearly auction held to raise money for needy children in the local region. Last year $50,000 was raised and 500 children rec'd $96 each to go shopping at K-Mart in Grand Forks, to buy Christmas presents.

Description:
Sox for Kids started in Northwood, ND in 1989 and has been held in Northwood since then, but since the devastating tornado that hit Northwood, the auction was moved to Hatton in 2007. Next year Sox for Kids will be in Thompson; 2009 in Buxton, 2010 in Arvilla.
