The mission of Home Delivered Meals, Inc. is to provide a service to the Grand Forks and East Grand Forks communities by delivering hot, nutritious, noon meals to individuals in their homes (convalescents, disabled, homebound who cannot cook or maintain their own diets).
Description:
The Home Delivered Meals Program is a service delivering one hot, nutritious noon meal, Monday through Friday, to people who cannot cook or maintain their own diet. This service is offered to hospital convalescents and people who are disabled or homebound. special diets will be available to clients.
History:
Home Delivered Meals, Inc. was founded in 1970. It was originally sponsored by The Deaconess and also St. Michaels. It is now located in the Altru Hospital but is not a department of the hospital. We are our own non-profit organization. We do not receive any government funding. All our meals are delivered by volunteers.
