The mission statement of The Salvation Army is to meet the emergency needs of people and teach the Gospel.
Description:
The Salvation Army provides the "fill-in" where other agencies cannot serve the community. The Salvation Army provides emergency and disaster services for the community as well as personal care items for other non-profit agencies.
History:
The Salvation Army originated in London England by a Methodist pastor. A service unit made up of local agencies, businesses and churches was formed to service Western North Dakota in 1992 and has been active to date.
