The mission of the 2nd Story is to enhance the quality of life for adults with developmental disabilities by providing social, educational and recreational activities.

Description:
2nd Story is a non-alcoholic social and recreational program in Minot for adults with developmental disabilities. Membership is free and open to persons 18 years and older.

A "calendar of events" is prepared for each month, with at least one structured activity planned for each night. Members are encouraged to take part in all activities; participation, however, is not mandatory.

The club offers its members opportunities to acquire basic social skills, and it provides experiences that promote independence and self-sufficiency to better integrate into the community.

History:
2nd Story was started in the spring of 1975 by a group of concerned citizens. The 2nd Story receives no state or federal funding. It is supported solely by contributions and fund raising projects. All monies donated remain local
