Description:
The Railroad Museum of Minot is a non-profit organization that includes the museum facilities located at 19 First Street NE in Historic Downtown Minot and the Magic City Express which is located at Roosevelt Park.

Our museum facilities include our archive and storage areas which are open to those doing research and the museum floor space with many different displays. The Magic City Express is a 2/7 scale locomotive that provides passengers a leisurely ride around Roosevelt Park.

History:
The Railroad Museum of Minot was founded in 1986 as part of the centennial festivities. Originally housed at Town and Country Mall, the Museum purchased the building at 19 First Street NE in 1998 and has called the building "home" since then.

The Magic City Express was started in 1989 from many retired Great Northern employees. The train continues to provide rides to visitors for its 18th year.
